ECCP Anti-corruption and Anti-bribery Charter
Commitment to Fight against Bribery and Corruption
Europrivacy certification activities aim at building trust and confidence. All certifications shall be delivered in a professional and reliable manner, free from any undue influence. In this context, the European Centre for Certification and Privacy (ECCP) is committed to combating bribery and expects its Europrivacy Partners to do the same.
In line with the World Economic Forum's Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI), ECCP follows a strict policy to prevent and combat any bribery and other forms of corruption in relation with its own activities and with the use of Europrivacy certification services. ECCP is committed to compliance with the applicable laws, including all applicable anti-corruption laws.
Anti-bribery Rules and Policy
ECCP requires its own professionals and its official Europrivacy Partners to behave in an ethical manner in their business dealings. In this respect, it notably requires them:
- To act with professional integrity and impartiality;
- To comply with the laws, regulations and standards that apply to professional conduct;
- To reject unethical or illegal business practices in all circumstances;
- Not to offer personal inducement to secure work;
- Not to accept any payments or items of value if this could reasonably be viewed as influencing certification processes;
- To keep accounting records that give a true and fair view of all transactions;
- To prohibit the recording of incorrect, misleading or artificial data, especially data which aims to conceal the purpose or nature of certain payments;
- To withdraw from working with or for any person that puts professionals under undue pressure or threatens them in exercising their duties;
- To alert ECCP immediately in the event of any suspected or attempted bribery related to Europrivacy and/or ECCP services.
Procedure for Communicating Indices of Corruption or Bribery
ECCP professionals and partners shall report any evidence of corruption or bribery through one of the following channels, as appropriate:
- to their hierarchy; and/or
- by mail to contact@europrivacy.com; and/or
